On certain vehicles converted for mobility-impaired persons, two fuel line connectors (made of non-conductive resin) may have been inadvertently installed during the vehicle conversion process. Connectors that are unable to dissipate static electricity build-up in the fuel system may cause a spark discharge, which could result in a vehicle fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install a fuel line retrofit kit.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2011371.
