On certain vehicles equipped with a diesel engine, the fuel filter assembly may develop a leak from the fuel heater o-ring seal. Diesel fuel spilt on the roadway could endanger other road users by making the roadway unexpectedly slippery. This could ultimately result in a vehicle crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the diesel fuel filter assembly.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2011359.
