On certain trucks, one or more fuel pipes may crack due to an improper pipe manufacturing process. In addition, the fuel pipe flare nuts may have been insufficiently tightened. Repeated normal high fuel injection pressure application may crack the pipe, causing a fuel leak. Leaking fuel could come in contact with high temperature components and catch fire, causing possible injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace high pressure fuel pipes showing evidence of improper manufacture.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2012392.
