Mitsubishi Fuso FG84D in the other registers

This site holds seven national and European registers. Mitsubishi Fuso FG84D is named on 1 American notices. Those are separate campaigns, filed with separate authorities on their own schedules.

Nothing here says any of these is this notice in another country. A model recalled in one country is often recalled in another, in different words and at a different time, and the authorities do not cross-reference each other. Reading them together is the reason this site holds more than one register.

On certain trucks equipped with an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), water could enter the ground wire casing and travel to the ABS hydraulic unit connector. If water invasion occurs, the connector terminals could become corroded, which could affect the hydraulic motor circuit in a manner that the motor would operate continuously. This could cause the hydraulic motor to overheat and catch on fire, which could result in property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace the ground wiring sub harness and inspect the ABS hydraulic unit for corrosion. If corrosion exists, the unit will be replaced.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2010176.

Reading this against the source

This page is what Transport Canada published in the Vehicle Recalls Database, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /canada, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.

What the words on this notice mean — the system it is filed under, and what the filing type says about who found the fault.

This notice names one vehicle among several registers that have written about it. Every notice this site holds for the Mitsubishi Fuso Fe84d, in all seven, is kept on that vehicle's own page, with the newest in each.

This register keeps an index of its own for every maker and every year it holds: Canadian recalls on a Mitsubishi Fuso: 41 in the register, and 468 Canadian vehicle recalls filed in 2010.
