On certain vehicles equipped with 9-speed automatic transmissions, the PARK pawl may not properly engage. If the parking pawl fails to engage and the driver does not use the parking brake, the vehicle may roll away after the brake pedal is released, which could result in a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the transmission and repair if necessary.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2015069.
