On certain vehicles, some front right halfshafts may contain a manufacturing defect related to the material hardening. This could result in the front right halfshaft breaking, causing a loss of motive power (on front wheel drive vehicles) and potentially damaging underbody components. In addition, the halfshaft could separate and become a road hazard for other motorists. These issues could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the suspect front right halfshaft.
