Canada — Transport Canada, Vehicle Recalls Database
Certain vehicles may have been manufactured with defective front driveshaft universal joint seals, which could allow water and/or dirt to enter the universal joint, causing accelerated wear and/or corrosion, and resulting in vibration. If the vehicle continues to be operated in this state, the universal joint could eventually break, potentially damaging surrounding components and rendering the vehicle inoperative. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction : Dealers will replace the front drive shaft.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2016226.
