On certain M-series vehicles that had the rear differential replaced during servicing, one-time use bolts holding rear sub-frame may have been inadvertently reused due to missing information in the repair instructions. This could cause the bolts to become loose as they would not achieve sufficient clamping force. A loose sub-frame could affect vehicle handling and stability which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction : Dealers will replace the rear sub-frame bolts.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2016438.
