Hino NV8J in the other registers
This site holds seven national and European registers. Hino NV8J is named on 12 American notices. Those are separate campaigns, filed with separate authorities on their own schedules.
The American register
Nothing here says any of these is this notice in another country. A model recalled in one country is often recalled in another, in different words and at a different time, and the authorities do not cross-reference each other. Reading them together is the reason this site holds more than one register.

Certain trucks equipped with tandem rear axles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 121 - Air Brake Systems. The addition of the second axle, performed by second-stage manufacturer Cambridge Mack, may have affected compliance to the brake application and/or release timing requirements of the standard. This could result in reduced braking performance which could increase the risk of a crash. Correction: Dealers will modify the air brake system and verify timing application and release compliance. Note: This recall is superseded by recall 2016421. Please see recall 2016421 for more information.

Reading this against the source
This page is what Transport Canada published in the Vehicle Recalls Database, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /canada, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.
What the words on this notice mean — the system it is filed under, and what the filing type says about who found the fault.
This notice names one vehicle among several registers that have written about it. Every notice this site holds for the Hino Nv8j, in all seven, is kept on that vehicle's own page, with the newest in each.
This register keeps an index of its own for every maker and every year it holds: Canadian recalls on a Hino: 47 in the register, and 644 Canadian vehicle recalls filed in 2016.
