On certain vehicles equipped with 3.5L V6 GTDI EcoBoost engines, the electric vacuum pump (EVP) may fail due to moisture entry through the engine vacuum harness. Failure of the EVP may result in reduced brake assist immediately after first start up, and depending on the driveru2019s reaction, may result in extended stopping distance which may increase the potential for a low-speed collision causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the EVP and vacuum harness.
