On certain fire trucks, the ball joints of the Independent Front Suspension (IFS) module may not have been assembled properly during the manufacturing process causing them to loosen over time. Loose ball joints could separate from their mating component which could result in a partial loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the central steering system ball joints and tighten if necessary.
