On certain motorhomes, if the vehicle is parked with the engine running, exhaust gases could enter the vehicle through open windows, storage compartments and other openings in the floor or sidewall. As a result, occupants could be exposed to carbon monoxide, which could lead to asphyxiation or carbon monoxide poisoning. Correction: Dealers will install steel exhaust tips on the end of the exhaust pipe that will allow the vehicle exhaust to extend beyond the exterior of the vehicle.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2017564.
