On certain vehicles, the seat belt D-ring mounting bolts may break due to a material defect. If this occurs, the seat belt may not properly restrain the seat occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect the driver and passenger D-ring mounting bolts and replace them as necessary.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2018232.
