Issue: rnCertain vehicles were built with an incorrect T-fitting in the air brake system. The fitting could fail and cause an air leak. This could cause the parking brake to suddenly apply. Note: If the parking brake applies, a warning light would appear and a buzzer would sound. rn rnSafety Risk: rnThis could cause the vehicle to stop suddenly, which could increase the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnThe company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer for an inspection of the air brake system. If an incorrect T-fitting is found, it will be replaced.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2019075.
