Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, the occupant classification system (OCS) may not work properly. In some cases, this could cause the airbag system to turn off the passenger-front airbag, even if an adult is seated in the front passenger seat. Alternatively, the airbag may not be turned off when a child seat is installed in the front passenger seat. rnrnSafety Risk: rnAn airbag that deploys in front of a child seat, or an airbag that doesn't properly deploy in front of a passenger could increase the risk of injury in a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnMercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the front passenger seat cushion.
