Issue: rnOn certain buses, the brake hoses may be routed incorrectly and could become damaged or fail. If this happens, air could leak from the hose and cause a delay in the front brakes activating. This would reduce braking performance. rn rnSafety Risk: rnReduced brake performance can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnMotor Coach Industries (MCI) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to inspect the brake hoses. MCI will supply replacement parts and advise owners to replace any hoses that are leaking or damaged.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2020179.
