A model recalled in one country is often recalled in another, in different words and at a different time, and the authorities do not cross-reference each other. Reading them together is the reason this site holds more than one register.

Issue:
On certain vehicles, the front brake caliper mounting bolts may not be properly tightened. This could cause the bolts to loosen, which may result in reduced brake effectiveness. If the bolts fall out, the caliper could also come in contact with the wheel rim and cause a loss of vehicle control.Safety Risk:
Reduced brake effectiveness could cause an increase in stopping distance and create the risk of a crash. A loss of vehicle control could increase the risk of a crash.Corrective Actions:
Mazda will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to check the tightening torque of the front brake caliper mounting bolts. If a bolt is missing, the caliper and remaining bolt will be replaced.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2020264.

Reading this against the source
This page is what Transport Canada published in the Vehicle Recalls Database, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /canada, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.
What the words on this notice mean — the system it is filed under, and what the filing type says about who found the fault.
This notice names one vehicle among several registers that have written about it. Every notice this site holds for the Mazda Mazda3, in all seven, is kept on that vehicle's own page, with the newest in each.
This register keeps an index of its own for every maker and every year it holds: Canadian recalls on a Mazda: 204 in the register, and 536 Canadian vehicle recalls filed in 2020.
