Issue: rnOn certain trucks, the axle yokes may not have been properly welded to the front axle tubes. As a result, the axle may not be properly aligned. During hard braking, this could cause the steering wheel to be off-center, cause a change in steering sensitivity or the steering may pull to the right or left. These changes could lead to sudden change of direction while braking. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA change in steering while braking could create the risk of a crash.rnrnCorrective Actions: rnFord will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the front axle yoke welds. The dealer will replace any axle assembly that is not properly welded.
