Issue: rnCertain seats were made without a symbol for the Lower Universal Anchorage System (LUAS). There are also some small errors in the instruction manual. Canadian regulations require companies to provide certain information with each child seat, including a symbol on or near the connector system for the LUAS. rnrnSafety Risk: rnThese small errors are unlikely to affect safety. Information for how to use the LUAS is provided in the instruction manual. rnrnCorrective actions: rnThis is not a recall. The company has made changes to correct future child seats to include a symbol for the LUAS. Owners should contact the company if they have any questions about how to use the seat. An updated instruction manual is available on the company's website.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2020651.
