Issue: rnOn a small number of vehicles, the windshield washer fluid reservoir may have been filled with washer fluid that was contaminated with brake fluid. This could reduce the driver's ability to clear the windshield and cause damage to the wiper/washer system. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA windshield that is not properly cleared could block a driver's view. This could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnFord will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to flush out the washer system and replace the washer bottle neck, washer pump assembly, fluid level sensor as well as the front and rear wiper blades. The dealer will also inspect and repair paint and exterior components, if necessary.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2021010.
