BMW 8 SERIES in the other registers
This site holds seven national and European registers. BMW 8 SERIES is named on 4 British notices. Those are separate campaigns, filed with separate authorities on their own schedules.

Nothing here says any of these is this notice in another country. A model recalled in one country is often recalled in another, in different words and at a different time, and the authorities do not cross-reference each other. Reading them together is the reason this site holds more than one register.

Issue:
On certain vehicles, an internal part in the integrated brake system could fail during hard braking. If this happens, there would be a reduction in brake boost and the antilock brake system (ABS) would turn off. This can cause an increase in brake pedal effort that is required to stop the vehicle.Safety Risk:
A sudden increase in brake pedal force and a loss of ABS braking could lead to an increase in stopping distance. This could increase the risk of a crash.Corrective Actions:
BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer replace the integrated brake system (hydraulic unit and master cylinder).
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2021061.

Reading this against the source
This page is what Transport Canada published in the Vehicle Recalls Database, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /canada, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.
What the words on this notice mean — the system it is filed under, and what the filing type says about who found the fault.
This notice names one vehicle among several registers that have written about it. Every notice this site holds for the BMW 3 Series, in all seven, is kept on that vehicle's own page, with the newest in each.
This register keeps an index of its own for every maker and every year it holds: Canadian recalls on a BMW: 449 in the register, and 658 Canadian vehicle recalls filed in 2021.
