Issue: rnOn a small number of school buses, there may be a software problem with the engine control module. As a result, the engine power may not be reduced when certain safety systems activate, like the traction control system or collision avoidance system. rnNote: This recall only affects buses equipped with a Cummins B6.7N natural gas engine. rnrnSafety Risk: rnSafety systems that do not work properly could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnCummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your bus to a Cummins authorized service center to update the engine control module software.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2021105.
