Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, there may be a problem inside the hydraulic control unit for the antilock brake system. As a result, it may be possible to start the vehicle and shift the transmission out of the Park position (P) without pressing the brake pedal. If this happens, the vehicle could move suddenly. This problem could also cause the brake lights to turn on or stay on without pressing the brake pedal. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA vehicle that moves suddenly could increase the risk of a crash. Brake lights that stay on could cause others not to recognize when the vehicle is braking, and could also increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnFCA Canada will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2022305.
