Issue: rnOn certain vehicles equipped with Michelin Primacy Tour A/S tires, the maximum tire pressure listed on the sidewall of the tire is lower than the maximum tire pressure specified on the tire loading and information label and on the gas tank cap. The placard lists a maximum pressure of 320 kPa (47 psi) instead of 300 kPa (44 psi). Canadian regulations require this information to be consistent on both the labels and tires. rnrnSafety Risk: rnThis error does not affect vehicle safety. Michelin has indicated that the tires can be operated safely up to a maximum pressure of 350 kPa (51 psi). rnrnCorrective Actions: rnThis is not a recall. Mercedes-Benz has corrected the tire loading and information label on all new vehicles.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2022359.
