Both registers carry the same date for this defect.
These are the dates each register records against its own notice. They are separate administrative acts in two countries, recorded by two authorities under two sets of rules, and this page does not claim that one caused the other or that owners in either country were contacted on those days. What it shows is that the same manufacturer campaign reached the two registers on different dates.
Read the American notice 22V709, including every earlier version of its wording this site holds. The Canadian register explains why the manufacturer code is published there and what that makes possible. Canada and America sets every matched pair side by side.

Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, the connectors on the cables for the rearview camera may not be attached properly. As a result, the rearview camera image may not display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. rnNote: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with the optional Surround Vision feature. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA rearview camera image that does not display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnGeneral Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the coaxial cables for the rearview camera.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2022536.
