Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the high-voltage battery electronic control unit to reset. As a result, the high-voltage system could disconnect while driving. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power to the wheels. rnNote: If this happens, you may see a warning message on the instrument panel. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnBMW will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the high-voltage battery electronic control unit software.
