Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, a problem with the instrument panel could cause the passenger-front airbag not to open and inflate properly in a crash. rnrnSafety Risk: rnAn airbag that doesn't inflate properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnToyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the instrument panel. To reduce the safety risk, Toyota recommends not to transport a person in the front-passenger seat until the recall repairs have been completed.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2023311.
