Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, the occupant classification system (OCS) may not work properly due to interference between seat components. As a result, the airbag system can turn off the passenger-front airbag even when a passenger is seated in the front passenger seat. rnNote: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with the Executive package. rnrnSafety Risk: rnAn airbag system that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnLexus will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the front passenger seat. If interference is found, the dealer will adjust the seat as necessary, and re-calibrate the occupant classification system.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2024229.
