Issue: rnOn certain side-by-side UTVs, the engine could backfire during start up and cause a vehicle fire. rn rnSafety Risk: rnA fire can create a risk of injury. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnTo reduce the safety risk, Kawasaki advises not to drive your side-by-side until the recall repairs are completed. Kawasaki will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your side-by-side to a dealership to reprogram the engine control unit and install a wiring sub-harness.
