Issue: rnOn a small number of fire trucks, the wrong relay valve may have been installed during production and could cause the parking brake not to apply. If this happens, the fire truck could move when it's parked. This problem could also cause the vehicle not to meet the requirements of Canadian regulations.rn rnSafety Risk: rnA parked vehicle that moves suddenly could increase the risk of an injury or a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnKME will notify owners by mail and will arrange for an inspection of the relay valve. It will be replaced, if necessary.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2024288.
