Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, a problem inside the high-voltage battery assembly could cause a short circuit. rnNote: This recall only affects plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA short circuit can create the risk of a fire, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnTo reduce the safety risk, FCA advises not to charge your vehicle and to park it outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs are completed. FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you take your vehicle to a dealership to update the high-voltage battery pack control module (BPCM) software. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the battery pack assembly.
