Issue: rnOn a small number of vehicles, the right-rear door lock may not latch properly. As a result, the door could open while driving. Also, if a person tries to forcefully open the right-rear door while the child safety lock is activated, the door lock could become damaged. If this happens, passengers may not be able to open the door from inside the vehicle. rnNote: This recall is an expansion of Transport Canada recall no. 2021-285.rnrnSafety Risk: rnA door that opens while driving could create an increased risk of injury. A door that cannot be opened from inside the vehicle may make it difficult to get out in an emergency. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnMercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the right-rear door lock.
