Issue: rnOn certain motorcycles, the engine may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, there could be increased oil consumption. Under certain conditions, this could cause the engine to fail and the rear wheel to lock up while riding. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA rear wheel that locks up suddenly could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnHonda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to inspect the engine. The engine will be replaced, if necessary. For motorcycles that don't require an engine replacement, the final corrective actions are under development.
