Issue: rnOn a small number of vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 25C18 (Transport Canada recall no. 2025-277) may not have been done correctly. As a result, another repair is required. rnrnOn certain vehicles, the seat belt reminder chime may not sound for long enough when you start the vehicle, and your seat belt is not buckled. Canadian regulations require both a seat belt reminder sound and visual telltale when a driver is not wearing their seat belt. rnNote: This recall only affects vehicles with a Revel audio system. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA seat belt warning that doesn't work correctly may not remind you to buckle your seat belt. Not wearing your seat belt can increase the risk of injury in a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnFord will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the audio control module software.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2025724.
