Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, the front passenger seat occupant classification system (OCS) may not work properly due to interference between seat components. As a result, the airbag system can turn off the passenger-front airbag even when a passenger is seated.rnrnSafety Risk: rnAn airbag system that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnTo reduce the safety risk, Lexus recommends that you shouldn't transport a passenger in the front passenger seat until the recall repairs have been completed. Lexus will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the front passenger seat frame assembly.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2026136.
