Transport Canada carries this recall as 2026216, dated 30 April 2026. The American register carries the same defect as campaign 26V270, dated 28 April 2026. They are the same defect because the manufacturer filed both under one internal campaign code, 0193.

The two registers are 2 days apart: the American entry is dated first, the Canadian one second.

These are the dates each register records against its own notice. They are separate administrative acts in two countries, recorded by two authorities under two sets of rules, and this page does not claim that one caused the other or that owners in either country were contacted on those days. What it shows is that the same manufacturer campaign reached the two registers on different dates.

Read the American notice 26V270, including every earlier version of its wording this site holds. The Canadian register explains why the manufacturer code is published there and what that makes possible. Canada and America sets every matched pair side by side.

Issue:rnOn certain motorcycles and trikes (three-wheeled motorcycles), the airbox backplate breather port may be blocked. As a result, pressure could build inside the engine crankcase. If this happens, hot oil could be ejected from the fill spout when the dipstick is removed.rnrnSafety Risk:rnAn oil leak could create the risk of a burn injury. rnrnCorrective Action:rnHarley-Davidson will notify owners by mail and advise you to bring your motorcycle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, correct the breather port opening.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2026216.
