ツインクラッチ式自動変速機において、シフトレバーをＲレンジ（後退位置）に操作した場合に、後退用ギヤが噛み合わないときがある。この状態において、シフト位置表示がＲ（後退位置）と表示されるため、運転者はこの状態を認識できず、前下がりの坂道において車両が前進するおそれや、アクセルペダルを踏み続けている間に後退用ギヤが自動的に噛み合うと、急に後退するおそれがある。What is to be done about it
全車両、電子制御ユニットのプログラムを変更し、後退用ギヤが噛み合っていないときは、シフト位置表示を点灯から点滅に、また、後退位置警告ブザーの間隔を通常より短い間隔に変えることにより、運転者に警報を発するようにする。また、後退用ギヤが噛み合わない場合があることについて、使用者に取扱い上の注意喚起をするとともに、取扱説明書を変更し、周知を図る。The two passages above are quoted in Japanese because that is the language the ministry published them in.
