What the ministry says is wrong

バッテリーフォークリフトの走行用モーターと作業機用の油圧モーターを制御する制御器において、当該制御器の内部にある電流を伝える金属棒(リードバー)の材質が不適切なため、リードバーが電食し、締め付け部のナットが緩むものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、リードバーが過熱して損傷するとともに、締め付けナットの緩みが促進され、導通不良となり、走行不能となるおそれがある。

What is to be done about it

全車両、リードバーを対策品に交換するとともに、制御器内部を点検し、損傷している部品は新品に交換する。

The two passages above are quoted in Japanese because that is the language the ministry published them in. This site keeps the wording a register had when it was read, and does not translate a safety notice.

This site gathered the record, grouped it by notification number and set it in English around the ministry's own words; the notice itself is unaltered. ニチユ elsewhere in this register

ニチユ is named on 28 notices in the copy of MLIT’s register held here, of which these are the nearest to this one in time.

The same part: その他(電気装置)

202 notices in this register name その他(電気装置). A defect that keeps returning under one heading is worth reading as a group rather than one notice at a time.

Reading this against the source

This page is what MLIT published in the recall notices it publishes, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /japan, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.

This register keeps an index of its own for every maker and every year it holds: Japanese recalls on a Nichiyu: 28 in the register, and 311 Japanese vehicle recall notifications filed in 2012.
