電気式ブレーキ倍力装置のコントロールユニットにおいて、制御プログラムの検討が不十分なため、トラベルアシスト（※１）が作動中にステアリングホイールから手を放したことを一定時間検知すると、システムが行う短いブレーキ操作を、運転者が行うブレーキ操作と誤検知し、トラベルアシストが無効化されることがある。そのため、運転者が運転不能になった場合に、トラベルアシストからエマージェンシーアシスト（※２）へ切替えが行われず、運転者に対する警告音を吹鳴せず、保安基準に適合しない。 （※１）トラベルアシスト：アクセル、ブレーキ、ステアリング操作をサポートする運転支援システム （※２）エマージェンシーアシスト：運転者が運転不能な状態に陥った場合に自動的に車両を安全に停止させる緊急時停車支援システムWhat is to be done about it
