Concern

Automatic transmission parking brake may not engage

Defect, as DVSA words it

Some vehicles may have been manufactured with an automatic transmission parking brake component which may not have been hardened to the correct specification. This could result in the transmission parking brake not engaging when park on the transmission is selected.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

Recalled vehicles will have the parking brake pawl guide plate replaced with a quality assured item.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.
