Concern

Fire may occur

Defect, as DVSA words it

Water may enter the glow plug control module due to poor sealing of the waterproof connecter for the front harness. In some cases the glow plug control module could get corroded due to the water ingress and in the worst case there is a possibility that the glow plug control module could melt resulting in a vehicle fire.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

A Mazda dealer will inspect the glow plug control module and if necessary replace the glow plug control module. Also the installation location of the glow plug control module will be changed to prevent future water ingress.

What changed since we first read it

Nothing yet. The wording has been the same on every read since 4 September 2026. The file is read again every day; if DVSA rewrites the defect, remedy or concern, the old and new text will appear here with both dates.

The same recall in other registers

No match found in the American, Canadian or European registers by manufacturer reference. A recall can exist abroad under a different reference; this site only claims a match when the reference agrees.
