Concern

SRC260720 – RC2603 – Replacment of the IAB brake actuator on the rear axle

Defect, as DVSA words it

As part of our continuous product monitoring we have identified that the affected vehicles were delivered with a faulty batch of parking brake actuators the movement of which may be restricted due to dimensional inaccuracies.  In this process there may be malfunctions such as the warning lamp lighting up seized or abrading rear-wheel brakes and even locking rear-wheel brakes.  In the worst case there may be a risk of fire due to increased heat development.

Remedy, as DVSA words it

As part of the planned recall campaign the model plates of the brake actuators on the brake calipers of the rear axle undergo a visual check. If the findings indicate this the affected brake actuators will be replaced. The replacement parts required for the recall are not expected to be available until October 2026. Please use regular replacement parts if vehicles fail in the meantime due to the above-mentioned problem.
