THE STEERING COLUMN COUPLING TO STEERING GEAR INPUT SHAFT CLAMP WAS IMPROPERLY HEAT TREATED AND MAY DEFORM OR FRACTURE. THIS CONDITION CAN CAUSE WEAR AND PROGRESSIVE LOOSENESS WHICH COULD PROGRESS UNTIL THE SHAFT SERRATIONS AND/OR COUPLING INTERNAL SPLINE TEETH BECOME STRIPPED.
