ON VEHICLES WITH 4 LITRE ENGINES, THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT THE THROTTLE LEVER COULD CONTACT THE THROTTLE BODY AIR INLET TUBE. THIS COULD CAUSE THE THROTTLE TO STICK WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS RELEASED FROM THE FULL THROTTLE POSITION RESULTING IN POSSIBLE LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. CORRECTION: AIR INLET TUBE WILL BE REPLACED WITH ONE OF A NEW DESIGN, HAVING AN INCREASE IN THROTTLE LEVER-TO-INLET TUBE CLEARANCE.

Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1989177.
