WHEN THE INFANT CARRIER IS CARRYING AN INFANT NEAR THE UPPER WEIGHT LIMIT OF 9KG (20LB) AND IS INVOLVED IN A SEVERE FRONTAL COLLISION, THE SHELL MAY SEPARATE FROM THE BASE AND FLY FORWARD IN THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE INFANT MAY COME OUT OF THE SHELL BECAUSE THE TONGUE OF THE HARNESS SYSTEM SEPARATES FROM THE BUCKLE. SHOULD THE INFANT RESTRAINT SYSTEM FAIL AS DESCRIBED ABOVE, THE POTENTIAL RISK FOR SERIOUS AND/OR FATAL INJURY IS VERY HIGH.rnCORRECTION: CONSUMERS SHOULD CALL 1-800-265-0749 TO RECEIVE A BASE REINFORCING PLATE.
