On certain vehicles built on the FCCC FS-65 school bus chassis, a braided ground strap to the starter may rub and wear on a steel chassis brake line potentially causing a fluid leak. A brake fluid leak can reduce braking effectiveness and increase stopping distance. Correction: Dealers will inspect the brake line and replace, if needed. The braided ground strap will be replaced with an insulated cable.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2004297.
