On certain trucks, the electrical connector of the Injection Pressure Regulator (IPR) valve can fill with rain water and road debris, possibly causing terminal corrosion that may lead to electrical voltage drops. If this occurs, erratic behaviour of the IPR valve can cause the engine to shut down without warning while the vehicle is in operation. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the electrical connector.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2006250.
