On certain school buses, the sheet metal rain visors over the pushout side window on the left side of the bus may prohibit the emergency exit window from opening sufficiently to meet the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 217 - Bus Window Retention, Release and Emergency Exits. In the event of an emergency, passengers may not be able to quickly exit the bus, which could increase the risk of personal injuries. Correction: Dealers will inspect the windows for proper clearance. If a window is found to be contacting the rain visor, sufficient material at the edge of the rain visor will be removed to permit proper clearance. The exposed edge of the rain visor will then be primed and painted.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2011066.
