On certain buses, the low idle speed parameter for the engine may be incorrect. High electrical demand and prolonged low idling could cause the alternator to overheat resulting in function loss, increasing the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will correct the low idle speed parameter for the engine and install a new alternator at the next scheduled preventive maintenance interval.
