Issue: rnThe mounting arm for the air control box, located in front of the left-front axle, could detach from the trailer. This could cause it to fall from the trailer and drag on the road or be run-over. As a result, the tires could be damaged or the trailer could tip suddenly. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA trailer that tips suddenly could lose its load and cause a crash or injure a person nearby. A damaged tire could fail and increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnDoepker will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicles to a dealer to install a support bracket on the control box arm. If the trailer must be used before the recall repairs are completed, the control box arm should be inspected for cracks at least two times each day.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2019264.
